All Crystal M&C systems come complete with the essential tools necessary to meet your M&C needs. These features are included with all Crystal's package systems: the features described here may be upgraded to the Corporate feature set or augmented with optional features.
Administrative and management functions are accessed through a convenient and office-accessible web browser-based interface.
Data mining and analysis are clicks away with Crystal's state-of-the-art tools. Right-select from any device screen to select and filter all data related to the device one has selected.
Crystal has several features that make scheduling notification, reservation of equipment, and communication among operators fast and simple:
Any operator may "take ownership" of a single device through that device's screen (see example below). Once a user has "Taken Ownership" of a device no one else (unless configured to have higher administrative privileges) may control that device. Other users can be notified via the dialog box at the top (i.e. who has ownership, when it will be again available, and why it is reserved).
Users may reserve a device through the device's interface by changing the state of the device to Busy (in the example above, the current state is Clear - users change the state to Busy here). The numeric box at the top indicates when the device is released from Busy and will revert to Clear state. The dialog box (at the top and to the right of the number) is for operator notes (e.g. DISNEY FAMILY/WEST).
Crystal embeds auto-tuning capability into many devices, including:
This allows users, instead of tuning all parameters (e.g. FEC, data rate, frequency) on one of the listed device types to select the desired satellite from a drop-down menu then the transponder from a second drop-down. Expand photo above to view (drop-downs circled in green).

Individual devices that are needed for the scheduling of an incoming feed, for example, can be reserved using the Scheduling tool: a handy way to do more with less.
Repetitive actions are automated with Crystal's macro recorder. A user need only open the recorder, click through the devices, commands, and confirmations one executes in the course of the task, name the macro and save. It is actually that simple. Launch the macro manually (from a drop-down list) or automatically using the Scheduler described above.
