These features are offered as available upgrades to both Crystalite and Corporate systems.

Automatic Up-link Power Control (AUPC)

Armed with this feature, within seconds your operator can now know if the carrier is up or not. Crystal can deliver the entire solution, including spectrum analyzer and have your operations taking advantage of this solution in short order. 

Carrier Constellation Hot-Routing

Using the above example, what if we determine that the carrier is up and we still can't lock? Let's now determine if the modulation parameters on the work order match what's being up-linked.

Again, with a single click we will now select Get Constellation button on a receiver screen (not shown - but placed in similar fashion as above) and we can, within seconds:

• command an upstream RF router to route the feed to a constellation analyzer; and
• automatically tune the analyzer to the that of the receiver

Depending on what we see we now know what we are dealing with and can take appropriate action.

Crystal can deliver this feature together with the hardware necessary.

Crystal's Smart Routing feature is a real operational time-saver for agile satellite ingest. By installing an L-band router between a bank of antenna feeds and a bank of receivers, Smart Routing enables automatic configuration of receiving equipment simply by selecting a receiver's source.  This assures receipt of any available signal on any of the receivers, regardless of which satellite and polarity on which the signal is transmitted.

Crystal’s Smart Router logically links a receiver to a particular L-band router cross point. That allows the Crystal system to connect the corresponding antenna feed to a receiver’s router cross point whenever a transponder is selected. Consequently, when a user cycles through a satellite’s transponder choices:

• the router is switched between the horizontal and vertical antenna feeds; and
• once a transponder is selected on a different antenna and/or satellite the router is switched to the requested antenna.

Smart Router thereby delivers efficient use of antennas and receivers; reducing the antenna and receiver count otherwise necessary.
